We're hiring a Part-Time Professional Organizer to join our compassionate, client-focused team in the Cranston, RI area (serving Rhode Island and surrounding communities).

At Fontaine Organizing, we help overwhelmed clients transform their homes and small businesses through personalized organization, clutter elimination, and sustainable systems. We aim to create calm, functional spaces that support the personal and professional goals of our clients

About the Role

This part-time position involves hands-on organizing sessions with clients in their homes or offices. You'll work to deliver high-quality organizing services that make a real difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with client consultations to understand needs, goals, and challenges

  • Sort, declutter, and categorize belongings

  • Implement customized organizing systems, storage solutions, and maintenance routines

  • Help clients make decisions about what to keep, donate, or discard

  • Support time management and productivity setups (paperwork, schedules, etc.)

  • Maintain a positive, encouraging presence during sessions

What We're Looking For:

  • Genuine passion for organizing and helping others create calmer, more productive lives

  • Strong interpersonal skills — empathetic, patient, non-judgmental, and great at building trust quickly

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to see spatial/organizational solutions

  • Physical ability to lift/move items (up to 50 lbs), bend, kneel, and work in various home environments

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (travel within RI required)

  • Prior organizing, decluttering, interior design, project management, coaching, or related experience is a plus — but enthusiasm and an organizing mindset matter most!

  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environment
